Founded in 1969 and relaunched in 2022 as a large-format print quarterly, it’s produced by a small & fiercely independent team of writers, editors, and rabble-rousers. Rock isn’t dead, and neither is print. Archive online.
STEREOPHILE
According to editor Jim Austin, “Whatever the medium via which audiophiles choose to enjoy their music — you will be able to read about it and how to get the best from it in Stereophile.” Monthly music reviews, too.
BANDCAMP DAILY
An online guide to the artists, fans, and labels on Bandcamp. It’s a record store and music community where passionate fans discover, connect with, and directly support the artists they love.

Independent websites for quality long-form writing on visionary and modernist music and culture, covering all genres with equal weighting. The Quietus treats the emerging artists of the genre-melting present with the same reverence the mainstream reserves for the stale canon of yesteryear.
CONSEQUENCE
A missing link between mainstream pop culture and the underground, it has a devoted readership for its reliability, precision, and character in music, television, and film. It also has excellent articles and music news.
