Loved seeing Cass McCombs on this list! His new record is great. I need to give the new Tortoise another spin. I definitely liked it, but not as much as their older stuff.

I just saw them perform in NYC and it was great. First time in almost 20 years! Still got it! Jeff Parker was a sent but James Elkington filled in . Three sold out nights! I love the new album but my favorite is theirs three albums hands down. This one has more krautrock appeal and after the opening track settles down. Thanks for reading!

Stereolab's Instant Holograms on Metal Film was my soundtrack to last summer.

Love this list, so much to check out. Thanks for the variety and the helpful short descriptions. I can tell from the familiar names that I am sure to discover a gem or two amongst the unfamilar names.

Finally someone recognizing that beautiful record by the Wildmans. Great choice.

Great to see Ryan Davis getting some love! This isn’t normally in my wheelhouse, but my ears wandered there, and I’m sure glad they did.

Also: I’m pretty sure Colemine is incapable of releasing a bad record.

Loving the nod to Brad Mehldau here, also was not aware of the new ZORN!

Here is my pick for the number 1 spot.
